The multi track magnetic ring has the different magnetization poles for outer diameter and inner diameter.
The multi track magnet is used as magnetic scales for magnetic measurement systems- incremental magnetic encoder .The tracks for multi-track magnetic rings are applied so that the signal quality of the total system is optimal .
The signal output of the incremental two-channel encoder has two rising edges and two falling edges, so it is sometimes called a quadrature encoder. The direction of motion determines which channel first reaches a high level, which allows the processor to easily monitor the direction of motion . The operator can increase the encoder resolution by triggering the pulse leading and trailing edges of one or two channels - up to a factor of four.
